In the latter stages of World War II, four German soldiers take refuge in an old Napoleonic fort, built on Roman ruins. They were hastily pulled from the Eastern Front, knowing nothing of their mission. At first the peace and calm of The Fort appears to be a place to rest from the war but the fort's stone walls do little to keep out the horror of the war
